How Good News Feels
How do you feel when you hear good news? How do you feel and think when you anticipate goodness and help? How would you feel if the most important influencer of all times treated you like you were the most amazing and lovable person in the world, and stepped in to help you? For some of us, this feeling comes as a shock and surprise when we realize Christ has stepped in for us, when he showers us with love we did not deserve, when he gives us peace. For some it comes with miraculous healing, for others His grace and peace are sufficient. For some finding Jesus is an intellectual exercise, for others it is spiritual awakening. To seek, find and accept Christ is a one to one experience. No one can do it for you. You can have many questions, you can have many doubts, but the most important way to find Christ is to read His words for yourself. Your doubts do not preclude you from seeking Jesus’s words. He has a sense of humor, he has great compassion, he is a great psychologist of healing choices, he mourns, he celebrates and he loves very, very deeply. He was born to bring us God’s good news. He died, accepting all the sins of mankind and loving us anyway. Just like He loves and forgives you.
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us that are being saved it is the power of God. 1 Corinthians 1:18
