Baptisms on the River Jordan D V Grieve

A thousand years passed from King David to Jesus. The Jewish nation was engulfed in pain and suffering. The kingdoms of Israel and Judah divide. Wars ensue. Israel falls to the Neo-Assyrian Empire. Solomen’s temple was destroyed and Jews were exiled to Babylon. These events are documented historically in non-biblical records as well as Hebrew text. In the time of the second temple Judeans were permitted to return to Judah. Then as the Romans come to power some of the Jewish nation want a King to lead in war; but some of the Jewish nation wants peace with Rome. Their nation is poised in the middle of highways, cultures and languages of the modern world. God had placed them in the intersection of great world cultures centuries ago, for this very time, for this very reason, to be able to spread the Gospel to all the world. God sees we are ready for maturity and His greatest gift, which is to be shared with all mankind. Jesus. Regardless of your faith background take time to look further at the parables of Jesus, meant for the good of all mankind. God had promised us a savior through the words of many prophets. And He gave us one. And God commanded:

“This is my son, whom I love. Listen to him!” Mark 9:9-7
