God’s Master Plan
God left us a Master Plan. We choose to build and conquer and fail instead. Take a look at His Covenants as a really, really long lesson plan for self-willed and stubborn children.
Our Infancy Our First Covenant
God gave His infant children very few rules and all that they needed in the Garden of Eden. And He gave them free will. Take a look at how this turned out.
Covenant Two
God choose to step in again on His wayward and estranged children. He gave them commands born out of His pain for them and He gave them a second covenant. They need to now be accountable.
Covenant Three- Abraham
A third covenant through Abraham, who raised up a mighty family in faith in God. A new tribe that will bring forth a new civilization. A stage in the growth of all God’s children.
Covenant Four- Moses
God walked with Moses to bring His people to a new covenant of freedom. A promised land. It was a long journey of isolation from outside influences, hardship and a day by day dependence on God. His teenage children were learning. As our teenage children also must go through their own Exodus with God’s help to become responsible adults.
The Book of the Covenant
Moses led his people as God commanded. And in a place of miracles God gave Moses the Book of the Covenants. A fifth step in raising His children. Now they have a set of rules to live by. Can you find one common aspect of all the commandments? If you can you can see how relevant they are even today. And prepare us for what is to come.
Covenant Six- King David
Finally God found a youth committed to God above all else. God built him a kingdom, to be our kingdom through God’s covenant.
Covenant Seven- Jesus
A thousand years passed between King David and Jesus. Jesus was a promise of salvation in a way no one expected. All of His parables are gentle revelations of the will of God. And God commanded us to listen to Him.
Completion- The 11th Commandment
And in a moment God completed all His promises to us. And He gave us a new covenant of everlasting life and a commandment more powerful than all the others, “to love on another.”
God’s Master Plan
God left us a Master Plan. We missed it. Follow the statements of covenants of God and see how He gave us a plan for our growth and maturity in His love.
